Curated clinical corpus
The retrieval layer is constrained to appropriate, maintained sources rather than the open web.

The problem
Clinical information is useful only when a doctor can judge where it came from.
Medical knowledge is broad, frequently updated and full of context-sensitive exceptions. A generic model can sound certain while missing the guideline, population or contraindication that changes the answer. The system needed to retrieve the right UK sources and keep those sources visible.
What we built
We built a retrieval-grounded platform over a curated clinical corpus, combining conversational answers with structured study workflows. Retrieval, ranking and citation behavior were tuned around the questions doctors actually ask rather than generic benchmark prompts.
The retrieval layer is constrained to appropriate, maintained sources rather than the open web.
Supporting passages and citations remain attached so users can inspect context and limitations.
Learning workflows turn the same knowledge base into focused preparation for UK licensing exams.
Search and answer performance are evaluated separately, making failure modes easier to diagnose.
Where it stands
One knowledge platform now supports both questions in practice and structured learning.
Doctors and candidates can move from a concise answer to the relevant source, keeping the convenience of an assistant without hiding the evidence required for a clinical judgement.
